About the service

Umar Data is a digital-services platform that facilitates purchases such as data, airtime, electricity tokens, cable subscriptions, examination PINs and other supported services. Availability depends on our third-party providers.

The Umar Data wallet is a platform balance intended for purchases on Umar Data. It is not a bank account, does not earn interest and should not be represented as a deposit account.

Account eligibility and registration

• Provide accurate, current and complete registration information.
• Use an email address and phone number that you control.
• Maintain only accounts you are authorised to operate.
• If you are a minor, use the service only with a parent or legal guardian’s involvement and permission.
• Notify Umar Data promptly if account information changes or you suspect unauthorised access.

Account security

You are responsible for safeguarding your password, transaction PIN, device and session. Umar Data support will never ask you to disclose your password or transaction PIN. Activity completed through valid account credentials may be treated as authorised unless you promptly report compromise.

Prices, wallet funding and charges

Current prices, fees and plan details are displayed during the purchase process and may change when provider rates change. Review all details before confirming.

Wallet credits may remain pending while a payment provider verifies a funding transaction. Do not submit repeated payments simply because confirmation is delayed. Report the payment reference to support for investigation.

Purchases and recipient details

• Check the network, plan, phone number, meter number, smartcard number, betting account or other recipient information before submitting.
• A completed service delivered to details entered by the user generally cannot be reversed.
• Keep transaction references and receipts until the service is confirmed.
• Do not attempt to exploit pricing, duplicate credits, system errors or unauthorised payment methods.

Service availability and delays

Although supported services are automated, transactions may be delayed or unavailable because of telecommunications networks, payment processors, utility providers, aggregators, maintenance, connectivity or events outside Umar Data’s reasonable control. We will use reasonable efforts to investigate reported issues and provide appropriate redress where a paid service was not delivered.

Acceptable use

• Do not use Umar Data for fraud, money laundering, unauthorised transactions or any unlawful purpose.
• Do not interfere with the website, bypass security controls, probe vulnerabilities or abuse APIs.
• Do not submit false complaints, forged payment evidence or another person’s information without authority.
• Do not resell or misuse a service contrary to provider rules or applicable law.

Suspension and termination

We may temporarily restrict or suspend an account where reasonably necessary to investigate suspected fraud, protect users, comply with law, address chargebacks or prevent harm. Where appropriate, we will request verification or provide a reason. Users may request account closure, subject to unresolved transactions and lawful record-retention duties.

Liability and third-party services

Umar Data is responsible for operating its platform with reasonable care. Third-party providers remain responsible for their networks and fulfilment systems. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under Nigerian law.

To the extent permitted by law, Umar Data is not responsible for indirect losses caused by provider outages, incorrect user-supplied details, unauthorised disclosure of credentials or events outside reasonable control.

Complaints, law and changes

Send transaction complaints to info@umardata.com or WhatsApp with the transaction reference and relevant evidence. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We may update them when services or legal requirements change, and continued use after an effective update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
